These guys have been out for a little while now but I’ve just recently discovered them after the release of their newest album Ready To Go earlier this month. The whole CD is pretty dope but these two gems i just can’t stop listening to.

Esseks is an up and coming artist based out of Brooklyn, New York. He is one half of the duo Technicolor Lenses and has been pursuing a solo career since his february release of Electric Experiments under the alias Collecter. Despite the name change Esseks continues to create a truly relaxing sound with just the perfect amount of wompage. Below is one of my favorite tracks off the album but you can hear the rest of the tape here

Sit back, light one up, and enjoy.

0 Banginnn Keane Mashup by Alesso- “Silenced by the Night”

I used to think Alesso was one of the Swedish House Mafia.. ha ha. Steve Angello, Alesso.. same thing. Just kidding.

Anyway, Alesso has been making a name for himself the last few years for his sick remixes and originals, like “Raise your Head” and “Calling(Lose my Mind)” featuring SHM member Sebastian Ingrosso. He recently headlined for a handful of the ever-popular Dayglow shows and his newest remix of “Silenced by the Night” by the British outfit Keane is truly a banger. Alesso’s drops have gotten better and better and I think hes quickly becoming one of the best house DJ’s in the world. Look out for Alesso to do big things the rest of 2012 and enjoy partying to “Silenced by the Night”

0 Das Nibley makes Awesome Video Tribute to Daft Punk

Das Nibley is a good buddy of mine that I went to high school with who has been producing bumpin EDM for a few years now. His last track was a filthy dirty remix of Thomas Gold’s “Alive,” which was featured on top blogs such as Big Green Beats. Das has been perfecting his craft, and his newest musical project is a really innovative “live” mashup of his musical heroes, Daft Punk. The masked frenchmen, as we all know, are one of the most influential and legendary DJ duos of all time and Das’ new tribute to them mashes up some old school hip-hop like Biggy and the Sugarhill Gang as well as newer electronic artists like MGMT with classic Daft Punk hits. I hope Das Nibley starts putting out more tracks because all his stuff is freakin’ awesome. Enjoy the Live Daft Punk mashup!

Here is the video link to this- in which Das shows us how he makes the mash up live. Awesome stuff!!

0 Dr. Deimos makes dope remix of Skrillex’ “WEEKENDS!!!”

  • 04/23/12

Dr. Deimos is perhaps the most regular electronic contributor to FreshJam because, quite simply, he puts out more good music, original and remixes, than any other artist I know. Add to that the fact that Deimos, like us, is an up and coming force in the scene and it creates a great match.

This latest remix is just what the doctor ordered (pun intended). Skrillex’s “WEEKENDS!!!” feat. Sirah is one of Sonny’s coolest tracks in the last year or so and Deimos’ remix may even top the original. Hes excellent at keeping the song like the original yet adding exciting new drops and beats to give it a fresh feel. Check it out, give it a download, and please show some love to our favorite M.D, Dr. Deimos!

0 And I thought we had a crazy time at ultra

Whether you were able to make it down to ultra this year or not I think you can definitely enjoy this story, we caught wind of it a few days after the festival and it needs to be explored.
According to the article I read it went something like this- at 5:23am Saturday morning after the 1st day of ultra a few blocks from ultras main stage, Evan Oberfelder was seen getting hit by a cab that promptly sped away. A witness phoned the police. Someone stopped and attempted to help but apparently Oberfelder wasn’t having any of it and repeatedly punched the man and then kicked him in the nuts.
By the time police arrived they said Oberfelder was “nude and bleeding from an apparent head injury” (I have my theories about all this but one would guess the head injury, at least, was from the speeding cab he’d just been pounded by, the nudity is anyone’s guess) He then attempted to jump on top of a cruiser and … Continue reading

0 some seriously upbeat Forekast

Forekast’s range of genres is continually impressive, I had originally been put onto him because of some of his dubstep but upon further investigation it became apparent that this was only a part of Forekast as an Artist. This Track categorized by him as Love and Bass might actually be exactly that, its wildly calming and upbeat, perfect for some relaxation or a mood booster during a come down, as well as the recharge stage of the rage/recharge/repeat cycle. (plus he offers free downloads)

0 One of my all time favorites the “dani california (omega remix)

Since we are still so new I figure its appropriate to get some of the all time best out there and as this is one of my absolute favorite remixes I think it having appeared on other sites prior to this doesn’t mean it should be excluded. Manic Focus does a fantastic job with this, it fully keeps the integrity of the original hit while still adding a new age spin and making it their own. Plenty could be said, but very little needs to be, so if you haven’t already then just go ahead and click play and I wont have to bother writing anymore because you wont be paying attention.

0 Christian the lion/ Glitch Dick

Now that this bitch is up and running I figured I’d use this opportunity to share some seriously gnarly Dubstep from Christian the lion/ Glitch dick (CTLGD). I got the opportunity to work with Christian when he came around on skybox studios “meltdown tour”, his first and only time on the East Coast (hes from Hawaii). He shortly there after won a Grammy for beats engineering on a kanye album, and believe me when I tell you that this kids live performance was fucking insane, some of the dirtiest dubstep I have ever heard. None of the tracks I can find even do his live set the slightest bit of justice, it was drop after drop, taking it away to give it back in a bigger way every time. Here is one of his remixes, there are some good videos out there that may be added to this post later but if his sound sparks your interest I think his youtube channel is GLITCHDICK.
